Tall Boneset's open airy white flowers attract many insects including butterflies, bees, moth, flies and beetles. Tall Boneset provides them with nectar and is also a host plant for some moths. You will find this stately plant in areas with moderate soil moisture to dry conditions. Despite its common name it only grows 3 to 4 feet tall. The dark green leaves are about and 1 inch wide and 5 inches long. The plant flowers from late summer into the fall.
In fact this would be a fantastic addition to a moon garden. The flowers are pure white that glows in the moon light.
Tall Boneset can be used at the back of a border, in a meadow, or to hide unsightly areas. Good companions are Goldenrods, Asters, Summer Phlox, Black Eyed Susan, Oxe Eye Sunflower and Anise Hyssop.
